
Human Rights Day 2016
Human Rights Day is observed on December 10th. It commemorates the day in 1948 on which the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). This declaration was drafted in response to the horrors of the Holocaust and the millions of homeless refugees left after World War II. By declaring that all human beings are "born free and equal in dignity and rights.. and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood", the UDHR sets

However, education is crucial for improving people's lives as it increases social cohesion and economic opportunity.
